It’s officially February and you know what that means? Valentine’s Day! We love February, it’s a super fun month with just 28 days! There are many things going on this month such as Groundhog Day and President’s Day. Plus, we’re at a time when we know warmer weather is on the way. However, Valentine’s Day sparked a topic we wanted to write about in this blog post. No matter how we each individually celebrate Valentine’s Day, whether with a partner or alone (here’s to self love!) it’s definitely a time when we’ve got love on the brain! This made us think and giggle because the word we hear that comes after “love” in our med spa quite often is “handles.” Yep, love handles!
If you’ve tried all of the diets and exercises you can tolerate and nothing seems to be trimming down those pesky love handles, it might be time to consider CoolSculpting. This is an amazing body contouring treatment and it’s a great time to talk about it! In this blog post, we’re going to answer all of your questions and explain this exciting treatment!
We see clients in our med spa that have questions about CoolSculpting and wonder if it is right for them. Many women complain of not being able to slim down their love handles no matter how hard they try. The term “love handles” or “muffin top” is usually used to describe the body fat that has accumulated just above the waste line. We hear often from women that their love handles “just will not go away.” You may have even googled “love handles will not go away” and find lots of articles talking about this common complaint.
It can be a stubborn area. If you have love handles that will not slim down with diet and exercise, it can be extremely frustrating. You might be working your butt off doing all of the right things, but not seeing results and your confidence is waning. So, what if you could just kill off those stubborn fat cells? No, seriously!
CoolSculpting is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses a technology to actually freeze fat cells to their death! Now you know why it is called CoolSculpting!
At Back to 30, our experienced practitioners use CoolSculpting to eliminate stubborn fat in the stomach, flanks, thighs, arms and chest without surgery. No costly and invasive liposuction or surgery with this treatment!
So, if you’re unhappy with your love handles and you’re fed up with strict diets and exercises that aren’t working, keep reading! You’re going to love learning about CoolSculpting! This treatment requires no downtime and is quick!
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive treatment we do in our office at Back to 30 that doesn’t require surgery or liposuction to help you get rid of stubborn fat. CoolSculpting is a freezing technology that destroys fat cells. This treatment targets fat cells without incisions or scary needles, making it safer, more comfortable and free of any scarring. It’s a quick treatment and typically takes less than an hour to perform. Since there is no required downtime, you can get back to your normal life right away! How exciting!
Let’s dive a little deeper into how CoolSculpting works and if it’s right for you.
If you have areas with unwanted fat that won’t go away with regular diet and exercise, CoolSculpting has been designed just for that! This non-surgical treatment uses a cooling technology that targets, destroys and eliminates unwanted fat. When you come in for CoolSculpting treatment, specific fat cells will get frozen. They will then gradually die off and your body removes them naturally.
Let’s dive deeper into what is actually happening with this treatment! The CoolSculpting® device extracts energy from the fat tissue, resulting in the cooling effect that is key to the treatment. Meanwhile, gentle suction raises tissue and holds it in place. The temperature achieved by the device remains constant throughout your session as sensors monitor the treatment area and make any necessary adjustments.
It’s important to note that CoolSculpting is the only treatment of its kind approved by the FDA!
Of course! CoolSculpting can be used for many areas other than love handles. There are actually quite a few places that stubborn fat can accumulate and not leave! We hear it all the time from our clients, but the good news is, we can help because of this incredible technology. Some of the areas CoolSculpting can be used for include:
This is a great question! There are definitely some factors to consider when it comes to receiving this treatment. When you come in for your consultation, we will be able to answer all of your questions and determine if you’re a good candidate for CoolSculpting. Here are some things to consider:
One of the most attractive aspects our clients love about CoolSculpting is that it’s non-invasive. There are no needles or incisions required. Plus, each treatment is customized individually for the client.
We have even gone a step further when it comes to weight loss. At Back to 30, our highly knowledgeable and trained team is here to support you. We have designed 3 unique treatment plans for clients who are on weight loss journeys.
Whether you need to lose a few pounds or more, we’ve got a plan to suit your individual needs. The plans we have created can be used on their own or combined with others to maximize the effectiveness of your treatment. Weight loss is only successful with a solid plan, and we know how to build one that works for you. When you come into one of our Upstate South Carolina locations, we will go over your goals in your consultation and talk about a plan.
Here is the information everyone wants to know! What can you expect with this treatment? Well, like we said there are no needles or incisions, so let’s explain what the actual process is like.
CoolSculpting® treatment can take from 35 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the area you want to treat. You will lie comfortably in a way that will allow us to access the area getting treated. There will be no anesthesia because it is not necessary. One of our highly trained practitioners will apply the handheld device and you will feel a cold sensation. After about 10 minutes, your body should adjust to the temperature.
During treatment, you are welcome to read, nap or browse your phone! The exciting part is that after treatment, you can immediately return to your normal activities such as work or exercise.
After treatment, you may experience some tingling, swelling or bruising in the treatment area but these effects usually go away in a few days. Don’t worry, we will go over everything with you in detail when you come in and answer all of your questions before treatment begins.
Just like with all treatments we offer, individual results can and will vary. Many clients require 1-3 sessions to achieve their desired results. Depending on your goals, our practitioners will take careful notes to determine how many sessions you should undergo.
After a session, it may take 2-3 months to see the full effects of your treatment as fat cells continue to die off and be eliminated from the body. After you have fully recovered, you can expect that your body contours will look more lean and defined. Proper diet and exercise is recommended for lasting results.
As with treatments such as liposuction, once fat cells have been removed, they will not return. However, this does not mean that you will be free from gaining weight if you stop exercising or eating a balanced diet.
In order to maintain the results of CoolSculpting®, it is important to continue a healthy lifestyle. The most noticeable results take about 2 months, and the treated fat cells have usually been completely eliminated after 6 months.
You can feel confident receiving CoolSculpting treatment at our Upstate South Carolina med spa, Back to 30®. We are a preferred provider of CoolSculpting®. Our advanced training and experience means we are able to provide superior care while performing this convenient, effective treatment.
